Agadir airport: the basics
Agadir Al Massira Airport uses the code AGA. It is the main gateway for the Agadir coast, and it lies roughly 25 km from the city. Plan on about 30 minutes by car to the bay in normal traffic. The exact time depends on where your hotel is and on the traffic at the moment you leave.
From the terminal you have two common choices: the Aérobus shuttle run by the bus company ALSA, or a taxi from the airport rank. The bus is cheaper. The taxi charges per car, not per person. The table below compares them, with prices as published for 2026.

Airport to Agadir: bus and taxi compared
Both options at a glance. Confirm prices and times on the day.
| Option | Cost in 2026 | Time | Good to know |
|---|---|---|---|
| Aérobus (ALSA) | 50 MAD one way, 80 MAD return | About 50 minutes | Pay on the bus or at the sales point at the airport |
| Grand taxi to Agadir | About 200 MAD per car | About 30 minutes to the bay | Agree the price before you set off |
| Grand taxi to Taghazout or Aourir | About 300 MAD per car | – | Price is for the whole car, not a seat |
The taxi fares are those quoted for the airport fare board by independent sources, so confirm the amount with the driver. Ask whether luggage or night supplements apply.
Airport transfers, tours and day trips
Tours and trips around Agadir that fit a first or last day, with live prices and availability.
Taking the Aérobus
The shuttle is the low-cost way into town.
The route
The bus runs from the airport through the tourist zone and Inezgane to a transfer point at the Vallée des Oiseaux, next to the Bank Al-Maghrib building. The operator gives the whole journey as 50 minutes. From the transfer point you continue by taxi or on foot.
Fares and tickets
A single ticket costs 50 MAD per person. A return ticket costs 80 MAD and is valid for 15 days. You can buy at the airport sales point or on the bus. No general child or free fare is shown on the operator's page, so ask when you buy.
Weekday and Sunday times
On Mon to Fri and on Sunday, airport departures run until 23:00, with additional departures at 00:00 and 01:00. The midnight runs appear at the start of the day in the timetable, so check which calendar day they belong to.
Saturday times
Saturday differs. The last airport departure is at 20:00, and the last departure from the Vallée des Oiseaux is at 20:30. Saturday also has extra half-hour runs.
Not a fixed hourly service
The timetable has gaps, so do not count on a bus every hour. If your flight lands late, check the current timetable before you go, and have a taxi as a fallback.
Taxi tips at the airport
A few habits that avoid disputes.
Fix the price first
Name your hotel or area, then agree the fare before the car moves. The figures in the table are for the car as a whole.
Know your address
Have the hotel name and area saved on your phone. Traffic and the exact drop-off point change the trip, especially for the Founty, marina and Talborjt areas described on the where to stay page.
Carry small notes
Dirhams in small denominations make paying simple. You can get cash from exchange offices at airports, in cities and in hotels, and cards are accepted in many places but not everywhere.
